What Makes Alpine Visualization Different?

Alpine visualization is not just a series of concept images, conjured from a base set of stand types.  On the contrary, Alpine visualization scenes are rendered using real inventory data produced on a unit-level from GPI© .   What you see on the ground in terms of stand composition, species, density and height, are referenced to the base inventory, modified by any silviculture during the 100-year planning horizon.  Visualization is not the purpose of site-specific management, it is a benefit realized as a result of the process.

Spatial Tie Between Visualization and GPI©

Each unit on the ground has an associated stand table generated in GPI©.  In the example below, unit numbers are displayed for a sample area.  Clicking on a unit brings up the associated stand table which can be viewed in a number of measures and exported to Excel.
